What to Look For...
Indications of movement are just that. They are signs that your home is "actively" moving, but this does not always mean that your home needs repair at this time. Both exterior and interior indications of movement may be present.
Telltale signs of movement on the interior of your home to look for include:
The most common is sheetrock cracks that extend at an angle away from framed in items such as doors and windows. It only takes a 1/4" inch of movement to create stress in sheetrock.
More extensive movement where sheetrock cracks are present may involve doors that "stick" or will not close properly. 
Separation of the floors from the walls or sloping floors
In many instances the signs and symptoms of foundation repair are clearly visible both inside and outside of the home. Below you find pictures identifying some of the most obvious signs that your home may have foundation problems.
Interior Indications
- Cracks in the Sheetrock
- Window or doors that do not open properly
- Sloping floors
- Opening between sheetrock panels in the ceiling
- Separation between the walls and the ceiling or floor

Exterior Indications
Cracks in the exterior mortar
Fascia boards at the corners of the home that are pushing away
from the home.
